Your engagement is the perfect excuse to have a little fun, to get to know each other a little better, and capture your love with stunning portraits. It’s like a practice session for your wedding day and demonstrates how easy it is to work with us. It also provides us with the opportunity to observe you both - your secret glances or tiny gestures that speak volumes. By learning how we communicate while directing you means capturing you on your wedding day will be effortless. Let’s plan it together.

There are so many stunning locations on your doorstep. We can provide a range of options or work with you to explore locations which may hold meaning and memories to best suit your vibe.
How long it will take?
Typically an engagement photo shoot takes about an hour or two depending on the type of photos you are after. Sometimes we might need to factor in extra time for the weather to clear or the light to change. We’re flexible. Often we have such a good time together we end the shoot sharing a coffee or a wine somewhere!
What should we wear?
Good question! This is a time to have fun and enjoy something totally laid back, as apposed to the more formal wedding attire. Stick to wearing what is true to you. Keep it simple and timeless by avoiding fashion trends or colours that you may grow tired of. Pick each of your outfits to compliment one another too, rather than clashing with what your partner is wearing. You will be moving around a fair bit, so keep it comfy and have something warm if it’s chilly out. Feeling cold definitely shows when being photographed. A beany or cute scarf can add some character if we’re going for winter coziness. Or totally jazz it up if you’re going for something more “glam”. Together we can figure out the perfect look for your style.
It’ll be fun
We assure you, there is no need for nerves or feeling awkward here. The whole point of this is to show you how easy it is when your photographer knows what they are doing. Putting your trust in us makes it fun and relaxing. We’ll talk you through the shoot and capture you both looking your absolute best.
